2.8.10 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
The Virginia Union University Department of Athletics has added themes to each of its remaining home basketball contests. The men’s and women’s basketball teams have three home games remaining and the Panther spirit flowing throughout BARCO-Stevens Hall will give the squads a noticeable home court advantage.

First, the Panthers face Elizabeth City State University on Thursday, February 11. That contest will be highlighted by the “2nd Annual Round Ball Club Basketball Reunion.” Former men’s and women’s VUU basketball players have been invited as special guest to attend the festivities, as six former standouts, along with the 1983 Women’s National Championship Team will be recognized at half-time of the men’s game.

Next, the Lady Panthers will conduct their annual WBCA Pink Zone Night on Friday, February 12, against Bowie State University. The women’s team will be wearing pink uniforms, while the men’s team will shoot around in pink zone t-shirts in support of the WBCA’s effort to raise breast cancer awareness.

The regular season concludes on Monday, February 15,as VUU hosts Lincoln University in its Maroon n Steel/Senior Night. Fans in attendance are asked to wear Maroon n Steel to send our seniors out in style.

Tipoff for all women’s games is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.
