RICHMOND, VA – Virginia Union University defeated cross-divisional opponent Saint Augustine’s College 6-3, in Match 1 the scheduled doubleheader. The Panthers jumped out to an early 2-1 lead during the doubles competition. VUU went on to win four of the six singles matches to secure the victory. VUU’s #2 Gil Hernandez, #4 William Crump, #5 James McLean and #6 Daniel Metzger each recorded singles victories for the Panthers.
