RICHMOND, VA – The Virginia Union University women’s tennis team captured its first win of the season by defeating Saint Augustine’s College in a cross-divisional match-up. The Lady Panthers won the match 8-1, suffering their only loss at the #2 singles position.
VUU captured an early 2-0 lead by defeating the Falcons in both doubles matches. Ashley Snead led the way for the Lady Panthers, defeating SAC’s Shar-dae Whitter 8-6 at the #1 singles position.
The Lady Panthers conclude the season in fourth place in the CIAA’s Eastern Division with an overall record of 1-12.
