Couture Shoe Designer and NBA Superstar Team for Launch of New Men’s Shoe Collection
Beverly Hills, California: Combine the personality of a luxury couture shoe designer with that of a retired basketball superstar turned TV chef and what do you have? One unique experience! That’s what’s happening during New York Fashion Week, Wednesday, September 16th at 8pm, when All-American shoe designer Vanessa Noel teams with former NBA All-Star Charles Oakley to host a NY Fashion Week Extravaganza to launch Noel’s elite new Men’s Shoe Collection. Occurring at her Upper East Side Flagship Boutique, this Red Carpet event will include a bevy of celebrity guests from the entertainment, fashion, sports, and political world.
"I am thrilled that Charles is teaming with me for the launch of my fall men’s shoe collection," shares Noel, "and proud that he sees my designs as a fall season must have," she concludes. Already a "must have" for top female socialites and celebrities, among them Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carolina Herrera, and Veronica Hearst, Noel’s design is noted for being sexy and sophisticated.
Oakley, soon to be on the tubes with his cooking show, "Oak In the Kitchen," offers: "Vanessa’s men’s brand complements my style." The now chef extraordinaire adds: "I am anxious to add shoes from her fall line to my collection and must say I also like what her style does for women."
Noel’s shoes are known for bringing out the inner vamp in women. Her stretch alligator boots were renamed "Kim" after Kim Cattrall who wore them in the iconic film, "Sex and the City: The Movie."
